Growing bodies need more than just their sport skills. We help youth athletes build the strength and speed they need to perform AND stay healthy for the long-term.
We believe that physical literacy can be, and should be, taught at a young age in order to continue to improve athleticism long term. Many athletes fall into the trap of putting too much emphasis on sports-specific skills only, resulting in incomplete athletic development over time. This, unfortunately, can result in overuse injuries caused by improper training and repeated repetitive stress coupled with inadequate recovery.
Our goal is to combat this by providing young athletes with the foundation for physical literacy using thoughtful backed-by-science workouts and movements.
Training at this age should be fun! Strengthgarten offers a group training environment for kids to discover their natural athleticism through thoughtful and balanced programming. Qualities such as proprioception, balance, posture and hand eye coordination are all things we begin training at a young age. Kids will be challenged to stay focused, to work hard, all the while being coached by professionals.
Note, Strengthgarten only runs in the summer.
A challenging group training environment that is geared toward increased athleticism, motor learning, and strength. Our focus here is to teach movement quality, mechanical efficiency, and a training mindset that will build a strong foundation for their future in athletics, life activities, and long-term health. Proper technique and form will be taught on each movement to ensure the safety and success of your child’s future in whatever active lifestyle they choose. Lifting and running cycles will be designed by our AMP Performance team with experience at the professional, Division 1 and Division 2 level.
Strength School 2.0 offers a group training environment that will dive deeper into the depths of strength training, athletic development, and sports preparation. Meticulously planned lifting and running cycles will be programmed and coached by our AMP Performance team each week. Progress in strength gains, power production, and speed will be tracked through our partnership with TeamBuildr, an online strength and conditioning platform. Strength School 2.0 is THE program for any high school athlete looking to play at the collegiate level and wants to be a step ahead of everyone in their recruiting class.
